First to Worst
A Delaware Historical Legacy

Delaware has a prominent place in American history.
In July of 1776, the Continental Congress was debating the issue of Independence from Great Britain, in Philadelphia’s Independence Hall. The Congress desired a unanimous vote of the colonies and Delaware’s Caesar Rodney, a Brigadier General in the Delaware Militia, had the deciding vote as to whether to go to war with Great Britain.
Even so, Caesar Rodney was 80 miles away, suppressing a loyalist uprising in Delaware. Then, Rodney received word from fellow Delaware delegate, Thomas McKean that his vote was urgently needed. Overshadowed by a Bostonian’s more famous, but less important ride, on July 1st Caesar Rodney began a night ride to Philadelphia, through a thunderstorm.
For Caesar Rodney or any other colonist to vote for independence, possibly meant death at the hands of the British. Even so, Caesar Rodney arrived at Independence Hall and cast his deciding vote. Caesar Rodney’s decisive vote transformed American history and catapulted the Colonies to war with Great Britain.
During the Revolutionary War, when Congress would not provide for the troops, Caesar Rodney would pay for the supplies himself.
In addition, George Washington appreciated Caesar Rodney’s logistical efforts that supplied portions of Washington’s army. This was evident in the letter’s that were exchanged between the two generals.
While Caesar Rodney, had his flaws, his efforts of freeing the colonies from British rule, just as those efforts of Thomas Jefferson, would help pave the way for the establishment of the American institutions that eventually abolished slavery.
The legacy of Caesar Rodney’s decisive vote was a direct impact upon the freedoms and blessings that Americans enjoy today. Risking his very life, Delaware’s Caesar Rodney and his courageous vote are etched as the First to commit to Independence in American history.
Yet the story of other patriotic Delawareans:
It’s interesting that on December 7, 1787, Delaware became the first of the original 13 states to ratify the Constitution. Then, over two centuries later, Teacher Anabelle O’Malley’s Mount Pleasant Elementary School First Grade Class, petitioned that “The First State” should become Delaware’s nickname, and on May 23rd of 2002, it was.
The efforts of Ms. O’Malley and her first-grade class are a testament to the best the state of Delaware has to offer our great nation. The phrase, The First State, implies both pride and distinction. I believe it will solidify Ms. O’Malley and her first-grade class in America’s historical archives for generations.
Then, there is Joe Biden.
Ms. O’Malley and her first-grade class along with patriot Caesar Rodney honor the Spirit and effort of The First State of Delaware in its contribution to making the United States of America the greatest nation on earth. Yet, Joe Biden’s self-serving policy of America Last is a legacy of dangerous and failed policies, vilification, and Pay-to-Play opportunities afforded by him to America’s greatest adversaries.
Joe Biden is a self-serving Anti-Patriot and Trojan Horse for the Enemies of America. His apparent goal? The intentional undermining and destruction of America, its Freedoms, fairness, and truth.
With obvious and seemingly sinister intent, Joe Biden’s America Last policies are undermining the foundations that American’s rely upon to pursue opportunities and livelihoods.
These policies usher in an era of discouragement, torment, and destruction for the American people:
Joe Biden’s Legacy and America Last Policies:
…Decades of influence peddling that allowed China to seize American manufacturing, markets, technologies, and real estate.
…Incentivizing and implementing his policy of Leave No Drug Cartel, Trafficker, Terrorist, or potential Democrat Behind, by opening our borders.
…Make our Energy needs dependent upon the very people who want to kill us.
…Mandating the Covid-19 vaccines among the medical, emergency, transportation, education, government, and other professions.
…Ostracizing and firing those individuals that do not comply with the vaccine mandates much in the same manner as those tactics used by The Third Reich.
…Indoctrinating school children to his ideology much in the same manner as those tactics used by The Third Reich.
…Inflate the cost of living for Americans and their families by shutting down U.S. pipelines while lining the pockets of our adversaries.
…Facilitating Beijing’s control over American ports and subsequent disruption of America’s supply chain.
…Betraying our servicemen and women, and Afghan and NATO allies, by abandoning them to the death and torture of the Taliban.
…Destroying American institutions and holidays: The judicial system, IRS, Thanksgiving, Christmas, sports, entertainment, Free Speech.
The life of service and patriotism that was Caesar Rodney’s and Ms. O’Malley’s first-grade class should be celebrated. In contrast, the foreign influence peddling, corruption, arrogance, the feigned foreign sale of his offspring’s fingerpainting’s, and the America Last policies of Joe Biden have given him the distinction of being The Worst President in American history.
Unfortunately, Delaware voters never stopped him at the state level and Joe Biden’s corrupt and failed legacy in Washington has resulted in Delaware’s fall from First to Worst, in the view of the American public.
Our hope is that someone else, a new and true Delaware-American patriot will stand up with a sound mind, sound policies, sound decisions, and results that truly benefit the Delaware-American, DelAmerican, or DelAmerean. A person that projects clarity, optimism, and light that will even transcend the failures of Joe Biden…the Worst President in American History!
My hope, perhaps a Mount Pleasant Elementary student from Ms. O’Malley’s 2002 first-grade class will pick up the torch and Make DelAmerica Great Again!
